•Graphics Index
Browsing though the pages, you saw a graphic you especially liked.  You want to   steal   take another look at it, but you can't remember where you saw it.  Go to the Graphics Index page, where all the graphics are now listed with "clickable icons" that display the respective graphic when "clicked."  Links to the original respective source of one-time-use graphics are also included.
•Welcome from VQE page
"More than you ever wanted to have of....".  Yes, another Think Mills™ Web site is "under construction."  This one may be strictly for Netscape Navigator (or compatible) browsers and for both experimentation and extras not included on this site (such as the semi-promised semi-sci-fi story and the semi-promised poetry section).

When you hyperlink over from the new site to this one, you'll see the herein-mentioned page.

New Revisions
•UPDATED RESUME
Previously off-line available updated resume is now on-line.  With the following features!--

»Better organized!«
·The computer training experience has been pulled from the old "Word Processing & Training" page and combined with the "Computer Consulting" page.
·The computer consulting page is now called Computer Training & Consulting Experience, and info has been updated and reorganized into two logical sections: "Training & Instruction" and "Consulting".
·The word-processing and training experience page is now called Computer (and related) Work Experience and contains only on-the-job computer-operation and word-processing experience.
·The Computer Hardware & Software Experience page has been updated.
·Editorial portions of the Writing Experience -- Business/News/Professions and Writing Experience -- Education pages have been pulled to the Editorial Experience page (and vice versa).
·The Instructional Experience page has been update with recent corporate computer training experience.
·The Chronological Resume Summary (that tries to make sense of all of the above!) has been updated with links to respective resume pages and samples (see next).

»Links to related experience and samples!«
·Chronological resume: Left-side links go to related resume pages; internal/right-side links go to related samples.
·Other pages: Links to related pages and/or samples. -- Find what you're looking for more quickly and easily!
•Links to subsections of page added
If you clicked on "Revised 8/5/96", above, to get to this section, you already found this out.
•Text changed to proportional
All preformatted text (except for one two-column quiz sample) has been changed to proportional text for more pleasant reading.  This may occasionally result in a "word-wrapped " Enter/Return (hard right) inserting an unwanted blank line or in a break occuring between a punctuation mark and its text (as it does here with Mosaic!) and prevents indented succeeding lines in bulleted items; but the full-page text, no matter what your browser settings, outweighs the lack of minor layout control.
•Two-column layouts changed to one-column
Originally necessitated by the change to proportional text, the one-column format is easier to read!
•Format instructions
Browser font-options recommendations and layout test are now provided in the opening Think Mills™ home page.
•Nonbusiness visitors' links now on home page
Nonbusiness visitors can jump directly to points of possible interest from the Think Mills™ home page without threading through the table of contents and directories.
•Click-here boxes changed
The "click here" boxes (originally added because people couldn't figure out where "here" was!) only showed up in Windows, not on a Mac.  They have been changed to "Go lights." (I realize "click here" is politnetically incorrect, but various layout considerations make them handy.)
•Biographical-sketch picture changed
Same picture, new format. -- Now, the original picture is not huge as it was from Mosaic, nor solid black and white, as it was from Netscape.  Instead, it is scaled to about 40% and "clickable".  Click on the picture (if you dare) for the life-size version!
•Songs now play!
The two "sheet music" songs in the children's story Cynthia can now be played on your sound card or MIDI keyboard, assuming you have your system "midi-mapped"! As of 8/12/96, the songs should load their own "player" automatically, without requiring you to save them first to disk and then reload them!

Click on the first "MIDI button" to hyperlink to midi-setup and comments/instructions, if needed; then click "Return" to return to the story.  Click on the "sheet music" for each song the first time it appears in the story. Then "switch to" the respective player to play the song each time it appears, as you scroll the music and lyrics! Feel free to sing along!
Cycles type color changed
There was a comment that Cycles was hard to read on its blue background. It was not hard to read from Mosaic, but it was from Netscape. It is now white text on blue background and should be easier to read.
•Visitors' page fill-in form
·Have your name added to the Visitors' Page by simply filling out a form, rather than writing an e-mail message!
·Two new visitors added.
·Someone left his/her suitcase behind.  (new graphic)
•Spruced up formats
Page formatting has been tweaked and improved throughout with true HTML formatting, ironing out the mixed metaphor bugs of and adding touches not allowed by CompuServe's HPWizard.

For examples: Text now wraps around images.  CAPITALIZED EMPHASIS is now replaced with boldface and italics.  Some images are now "clickable."  Links now center in both Netscape and Mosaic.  Text blinks.  Heads/text are in color (if your browser permits).

•Overbearing backgrounds redone
The heavy "Teacher, Teacher... " background of the Education Samples directory, the pink and blue footsteps of the Children's Stories directory, and the windmill wallpaper of the Phone Numbers pages have been reformatted to a vertical-strip format.  Of course, if you refused to use 12pt. type, some of the copy may still overlap into the graphics!
•Fix for tabs and double-spacing
Using a supposedly Windows and Mac nonprinting character, indented paragraphs and two spaces between sentences can now be done.  Please e-mail me if these spaces show up as garbage on your system.
•Return to table of contents returns
To help you return to the appropriate Table of Contents or Section Directory, backward links have been re-added to the ends of pages.  This is easier than tracing histories or "back"ing to the wrong link.
Errors/glitches Corrected:

•Unwanted extra blank lines added automatically by HPWizard removed

•Replaced HPWizard's extra vlink glitch with new alinks

•Fixed resume bullets to print from Netscape (always did in Mosaic)

•Restored (hopefully) graphics lost in first revision (second upload)

•Added B-flat to "Cynthia's Song" sheet music graphic
(There is no B -- flat or otherwise -- in "Cynthia's Song", so how is one to know it's supposed 2 b flat? -- Other than that it's obviously in the key of F, that is!)
•Fixed terrible error in "saw " example of vocabulary book
(A cut-and-paste-forgot-to-change mistake)
•Fixed/reformatted MuAths™ puzzles
·Separated puzzles into a page per graphic to speed up loading and free up memory
·Added missing letter clue to MuAths™ puzzle, Day 4
·Added missing letters answer boxes (!) to MuAths™ puzzle, Day 1
•Fixed at least two typos
(Children's Directory: careers, not carrers.  MuAths™ puzzle, Day 1: took the errant e out of the microwave! It was a bad day all around.)

•"What's New: Revisions & Additions" (this page)

•Visitors page

Click here  to view visitors' page and/or add your name to this list!

•White-background pages (optional)

Find it hard to read headlines, text, and/or links on color backgrounds?
Can't adjust your browser to override defaults?
Table of Contents now available with plain white backgrounds!
Revisions:

•Visited links colors changed

Originally, visited links were changed to a shaded version of their original color.  Since visited links change color no matter on which page they appear, links back to the Table of Contents, etc., became difficult to read.  Now visited links revert to text or other solid color.  Please e-mail if anything is still hard to read.

•Links at top of pages removed

Links to return to Table(s) of Contents have been removed from tops and bottoms of pages -- in the "Duh," category, the Web-page author realized you can do this from your browswer's "Go" or "Navigate" drop-down menus or toolbar buttons! [Ones at page bottoms now restored; see under "August"]

•Logo color background on TofC changed

CompuServe's Home Page Wizard correctly displayed graphics color as matching background color, but CompuServe Mosaic displayed a different color.  Edit to resolve this causes incorrect color in other browsers, so original matching color is restored. [Background has now been changed altogether; see under "August"]

•Biographical sketch available in one-column format

It has been noted that the two-column biographical-sketch format looks good but is annoying to navigate; therefore, a full-page version has been added. [This two-format choice has been replaced with one-column version only; see under "August"]

•'Cats' computer article layout error corrected

Accidental landscape format has been restored to normal portrait layout.
