The "Play Yer Piano" program requires the use of JavaScript and Netscape Navigator 3+/4+ or Internet Explorer 4+. This program will not function properly on older browsers (including IExplorer 3+) and may even crash the browser connection.

When the next page loads:
1. Please wait for the scale to complete before moving your mouse.
2. Hold your mouse pointer over each key (on the next page) until that tone plays.
Black keys now also play! -- The left side of each black key is the sharp; the right side, the flat! (But it doesn't matter which side you happen to land on for this initial sound activation.)
The first sound activation will probably take 3 to 4 seconds per note. From there on, all the tones should play as quickly as your modem and computer can process them!
3. Point to the "Scale up" megaphone and wait for that sound to load completely.
4. Point to the "Scale down" megaphone and wait for that sound to load completely.

One more hint: If you point to the "Full scale" megaphone icon and then quickly to the "Animate scale" moviecam icon (both on the next page), you should be able to get the scale and keyboard to synchronize, playing a faster scale than the "Full scale" megaphone/moviecam icon combo (however, the note names will not appear).
